Fireman "5"

The Fireman Five Class covers five basic skills, that we at GRIT Fire Training LLC believe are the foundation blocks of every great fireman. We take these skills and build upon them with experience-based knowledge, one-of-a-kind training props as well as real world techniques that are not typically taught in entry level fire academy classes.  

 

The five skill stations covered are: Hose Line Management, Ladders, Vent Enter Search, Forcible Entry, and SCBA Confidence/Proficiency. All skill stations are taught from an Engine Company perspective with a focus on limited staffing, which promotes independent proficiency of the skills on the Fire Ground in the real world."
